Teens camp 2010 – ‘The Great I Am’

Teens of the church are very grateful for the wonderful teens camp 2010. We had this year’s camp at the hope school at Tarangampaadi. This was really really a special camp for two reasons. For the first time it was organized outside Karnataka and also it was organized for 6 days, a longer duration when compared to our previous camps of 2-3 days.

We are truly grateful to hope for allowing us to use their school at Tarangampadi. Even though it was during hot summer and some had thought that Tarangampadi is not that ideal place for the camp during the middle of summer it never dampened the spirit of teens during those 6 days. God blessed the camp more than we expected.

The theme of the camp was ‘The Great I Am’. The teens were taught on different attributes (mercy, holiness, love etc) of God. Besides that there were many practical sessions on quiet times, friendships and social networking. The longer duration ensured that the deeper relationships were built among the teens. Many teens who were insecure came out of themselves to be among the other teens. Many non Christian teens have decided to study the bible and to become Christians. Innovative games, sports at the beach, skits, talent show and tasty foods only added to the zest of the entire camp.
